Contact Form Section

Add a customer contact form to your pages.

Adding the Section

  1. Open the theme editor
  2. Navigate to your contact page (or any page)
  3. Click Add section
  4. Select Contact Form

Default Fields

The contact form includes:

  • Name - Customer's name
  • Email - Customer's email address
  • Phone - Phone number (optional field)
  • Message - Text area for their message

Header Content

Subheading

Optional introductory text like "Get in Touch"

Heading

Main title, e.g., "Contact Us"

Text

Additional information:

  • Response time expectations
  • Alternative contact methods
  • Business hours

Form Behavior

Submission

  1. Customer fills out the form
  2. Clicks submit button
  3. Message is sent to your store email
  4. Success message displays

Where Messages Go

Form submissions are sent to the email address in: Settings > Notifications > Customer notifications > Contact customer

Layout Options

Narrow Container

Toggle to constrain the form width for better readability on wide screens.

Content Alignment

Align header content: Left, Center, or Right.

Color Scheme

Apply styling for:

  • Background color
  • Text color
  • Input field styling
  • Button color

Success/Error Messages

Success Message

Displays when form submits successfully. Customize in your Shopify theme language settings.

Error Messages

Displays for:

  • Missing required fields
  • Invalid email format
  • Submission errors

Best Practices

Form Placement

Create a dedicated contact page:

  1. Go to Online Store > Pages
  2. Create new page titled "Contact"
  3. Choose the contact page template
  4. Form appears automatically
