Setting Up Your Homepage

Create an impactful homepage with Elle's editorial-focused sections.

Recommended Homepage Structure

For fashion and lifestyle brands, we recommend this section order:

1. Announcement Bar - Promotions or shipping info
2. Hero - Full-bleed image or video
3. Featured Collection - Your main product collection
4. Image with Text - Brand story or feature highlight
5. Testimonials - Customer reviews
6. Newsletter - Email signup

Adding a Hero Section

1. Open the theme editor on your homepage
2. Click Add section
3. Select Hero (or Split Hero for a two-column layout)
4. Upload a high-quality image (recommended: 2400px wide)
5. Add heading and button blocks
6. Choose your overlay style and content position

Featuring Your Products

1. Click Add section
2. Select Featured Collection
3. Choose a collection from the dropdown
4. Set the number of products to display (4-8 recommended)
5. Choose Grid or Carousel layout

Adding Brand Content

Use the Image with Text section to tell your brand story:

1. Add the section
2. Upload an image
3. Add Subheading, Heading, Text, and Button blocks
4. Choose left or right image position

Mobile Optimization

Elle automatically optimizes for mobile, but check your homepage on the mobile preview:

1. Click the mobile icon at the top of the editor
2. Review each section's mobile appearance
3. Adjust mobile-specific settings where available

Color Schemes

Each section can use a different color scheme:

1. Click any section
2. Find the Color scheme dropdown
3. Select a scheme that complements your content

Create custom color schemes in Theme settings > Colors.
