Logo and Branding

Configure your store's logo and branding in Elle's theme settings.

Accessing Logo Settings

1. Open the theme editor
2. Click Theme settings (gear icon) in the left sidebar
3. Click Logo

Logo Options

Image Logo

1. Click Select image under Logo
2. Upload your logo file (PNG or SVG recommended)
3. Use a transparent background for best results
4. Recommended width: 240-500px

Logo Width

Control how large your logo appears:

1. Find the Logo width slider
2. Adjust between 50-250 pixels
3. Default is 120px
4. This setting is used across the entire theme

Tip: Test your logo at different sizes on both desktop and mobile to find the right balance.

Text Logo

If you don't have a logo image, Elle displays your store name as text using the heading font.

Favicon

The favicon appears in browser tabs:

1. Scroll to Favicon in Logo settings
2. Click Select image
3. Upload a square image (recommended: 32x32px or 64x64px)
4. PNG format with transparency works best

Best Practices

Logo File Formats

• SVG - Best quality, scales perfectly, smallest file size
• PNG - Good for logos with transparency
• JPG - Use only if no transparency needed

Logo Dimensions

• Keep height reasonable (40-80px at display size)
• Wide logos work well with centered header layouts
• Square or tall logos work better with left-aligned headers

Dark vs Light Backgrounds

If your header uses a transparent mode on hero sections, ensure your logo is visible on both light and dark backgrounds. Consider using a logo with a subtle outline or shadow if needed.
